Thank you Mamya for asking, very kind of you.
I'm still struggling to eat.
We went out on an organised 3 course lunch yesterday with a U3A group. I could only manage a starter and dessert. Still struggling with nausea especially when I try to blow my nose, I end up heaving and just cannot do it.
I am reluctant to go to the docs at the moment as I have no faith in them. The last 6 months or more whenever I have gone with a problem they blame it on my liking a glass or so of wine.

I saw someone mentioned acid reflux on that thread and it's a real possibility - I was similar and now take 1 pill a day to control it.

Please go and ask.x
Thank you Mamya
change doctors, Caran? There's not much point in sticking with one you don't trust.
/// ...they blame it on my liking a glass or so of wine. ///

That's outrageous - should be struck off.
Hope you can get this sorted soon, Caran. x
"an alcoholic is someone who drinks more than her doctor"

My GP almost fell off his chair when I was honest about my intake.

Before that it was cigs ( no more)

Never had me on weight yet.

They all do it, they are taught to.
Some of the symptoms, (with the caveat I'm not a doctor) could be due to liver disfunction so maybe you should go to the doctors and heed his advice on your alcohol intake.
Silent reflux is more serious than it sounds. If you do have that, or something similar, alcohol will only make it worse.

Try giving up drinking for a month or so and see if your appetite improves. If it does...there's your answer.
If your doctor blames wine drinking for your ailments, it would be a sensible idea to stop, surely?
