Have just had my neighbour in to talk about replacing my garden with flags per se.
He has said it is a big enough job as garden needs to be dug up, screed and all the other gardening terms then the price of flags and labour.
I live in a cul-de-sac so don't have a pavement and I would also need a little wall to stop the drivers driving and reversing onto the flags.
If I don't go with the flags can anybody advise of any other low maintenance solution. As I have said in another post the garden didn't germinate last year and is patchy with the dog's urine.
If I do think of more garden/lawn - would it be a good idea to get rid of all the old soil anyway.
Neighbour didn't seem enthused but then he has a mountain of problems at the moment.
Loose gravel can be like having a large litter tray ..
every cat for miles around will be leaving you a little deposit .. dont do it !
Hard packed gravel yes .. but not loose gravel.
My dad has a similar type of gravel to the one in Buenchico’s first link. There is the occasional cat wandering through, but no mess from them. And no lawnmowing needed
