Grey Squirrels

Love them or loathe them, you have to admire their resolve when it comes to finding a solution to a problem.
With the recent storms and high winds, I've had to guard against my bird feeding station from getting blown over and breaking, by attaching a rope around the central pole and tying it off between two points on either side. Well that did the trick and the plastic squirrel baffle had stopped them climbing the pole to get to the intended bird food.
I wouldn't put nothing past the greys and it came as no surprise when the squirrels soon discovered a handy rope had been installed, allowing them to get to the food above.
I'll just be glad when the wind dies down enough for me to take off the rope and go back to a birds only polocy.
