Why does there seem to be so much depression and anxiety these days, is it because we hear more about it, especially, it seems in young people, was it not heard of years ago or, especially, when war was on and could understand the reasons for it.
Yes, I read that, teacake. That's why I was asking further about your experience, as it makes no sense by itself. Or statistics? If it isn't personal experience?
Tiggerblue. You have been very brave posting such personal details about yourself. It’s interesting how you are minimising the negativity surrounding you at present, as if you are less important than everyone else. ! I’m not a psychiatrist, but in my opinion you would benefit greatly from ‘ talking’ to someone about your situation. Please have a look around your local area for some sort of support. G P should be a good starting point . :-)
I told my manager (Thursday, 13th Feb), I was feeling low and quite lonely and depressed and she said 'you've got a lovely little boy, a house etc etc..' and I said to her that a person who has everything can suffer with mental health issues.
There is a lot of negativity around me at the moment and the feelings of worthlessness can be quite overwhelming.
