Ivehad a bit of a rough time lately, just one thing after another, which everyone I know knows of. I have a few online friends who I’ve never met (bit like AB) but that I’ve talked to for god knows how long. Anyway, a parcel arrived this morning for me - I opened it and it’s one of my online friends who I’ve NEVER met, and she’s sent me a cuddly toy, a pair of earrings and a beautiful card to say she was thinking of me. Meant so much..... #itsthelittlethings
It may be online but it's still real people and we shouldn't ever forget that. I have met lovely people from here and other sites, I have found love, and great kindness. Been hurt and attacked and felt the warmth when others defended me. I am delighted for you.
Ive received a few (very welome) gifts from very generous ABers and receive a lovely calander and card every xmas from another.
Ive had some so called *real* friends who would drop you like a ton of bricks when you need a bit of support.
I have a lot of lovely real friends who I meet regularly for chats, coffee, lunch, theatre trips, cinema trips, days out etc. They have also given wonderful support in difficult times. So, thankfully, I have absolutely no need for online friends, which I would consider far more problematical.
