Just been to the dentist and heard the receptionist take a call from someone who needed to check the address and postcode of the practice to put in their satnav. Won't repeat everything she said but it ended with Q for Cuba. Made me smile.

In our universe, that makes perfect sense, BD.

I once overheard a London cab driver berating a Traffic Warden for spelling 'Ackney with an "H" ;o)

Did you know that in the NATO alphabet A is for Alfa (I always thought it was Alpha) and Juliett has 2 "t"s.
Mmm... Alfa Romeo = AR. That makes sense.

However, Shakespeare's play is "Romeo and Juliet" with one T.

I feel a conspiracy theory coming on. Perhaps we should start one.
You have too much time on your hands .. watching Shakespeare .. where will it all end !

'Where for art thigh shovel my good man' .. 8-)
Hey, Homer....

I'm having a bit of downtime at the moment, looking for the next project.
My shovel is parked up ;o)
just as well she wasn't going to Kwerebeck.

o for round
It's a surprise really... Most people who use their phone to find an address or postcode will google the practise, giving a clear postcode.

I feel sorry for the receptionist, obliviously from an era where phonetics are moot.
I have had to use the Nato phonetic alphabet and the 24hr clock all my working life. I now have got into the habit of using Lat/Long GPS co-ordinates for finding addresses abroad when driving there.
I was in the waiting room this morning when a man came in for his 11.50 am appointment. Receptionist asked his name and told him she didn't have a record of his appointment, after asking for DOB and address she said he wasn't even registered with the practice.
He had definitely got lost.
