NHS site: Average NHS hourly pay ranges from approximately £7.65 per hour for Nurse to £38.81 per hour for Registered Nurse
It's hard to say.

Average private duty nurse in the UK is £20.18 a hour.

If you look at private care, on average private care is £33,852 a year WITHOUT care. Then, it rose to £47,320 WITH care.

So you could guesstimate that private nursing would cost roughly 13.5K a year.
If the average nurse is £20 a hour, and you need them for 2 hours all seven days then that sum is £102200 a year.
Your calculator is playing up !
£14,562 for 2 hours a day for one year.
You’re right. I did my calculations as if there were 365 WEEKS in the year -.- (facepalm)
£3360 for two hours 365 days a year.
TD, that doesn't look right...
If I do 40 times 7 times 52 I get £14560

I'm not sure what went wrong with my other calculations -.-
jj, I hope that all your replies so far have made everything clear!
Yep .. you are in a hole .. stop digging !

Simple .. 365 x 40
Jenny ... Not to long ago I used to work closely with Social Services and Nursing Agencies etc.
While visiting one customer I got chatting with the private nurse she had hired to live in.
Being a bit inquisitive, I suggested it must cost a small fortune to have a nurse living in 24/7 .. the Nurse told me it was £33 per hour from Monday to Friday and extra at the weekend. She also told me that she and two other nurses had shared this particular job for just over a year at that point and it was all funded by the customer !

Thankfully, we're in ChatterBank :D But yes I agree I should ziiiiippp.
2 hours every day = 14 hours per week = £280 (at £20 per hour)
52 weeks in the year = £280 x 52 = £14,560
I just asked Alexa and that's what she said. £14600!
We paid £20 hour last year
