I know I am not the only one, and we are all suffering in equal measures. But I am so despairing about what is happening.
Supermarkets are a nightmare. I am 70 and get jostled constantly, by younger impatient shoppers, which makes me feel dizzy.
I stood in a queue at Boots for almost an hour hoping to get a packet of Paramol for my neuralgia, only to be told they had none left, and they had no ordinary Paracetemol either.
I am not mobile so can't do the rounds of the shops to get what is needed, and there is so little on the shelves.
Sorry to be such a misery. I know that each and everyone of you is feeling the same way but I needed a wee moan. Thank you for your patience.

I'm grateful for Amazon.

My local shop, 2 mins away, is staying open, thankfully.
I had some shopping delivered last night and managed to book a slot for 2 weeks time.
I did have problems getting dog and cat food but drove 30 miles to a pet warehouse and managed to get some , not what I would normally buy but hopefully the dogs won’t be fussy and eat it. My biggest worry is that one of my cats has extreme allergy and I have to order all his food online, if he doesn’t get this food he will become very ill
perhaps that is what we will have to do, shop more locally..though i have heard that some are ripping off customers with massive price rises
That's worrying, Martin.
Martin who do you shop with, as all the supermarkets seem to be in the same position.
like ummmm has said try Amazon they may be able to help?
Our shop wouldn't do that, Emmie.
I shop at Tesco.
Amazon are very expensive for the food I need but I will use them if I have too.
I have enough for 3 weeks and normally stock up on payday so I have an overlap if there is a bit of delay but would rather not use my emergency stock.
I have a butcher delivering meat next week I just have to meet him in the local town, our village shop has put a restriction on for all items to stop panic buying.
Makes sense but I understand why people are panic buying. I've been poorly so have been in for 3 weeks.
I also understand why people are panic buying it’s very scary
I said on another thread....people are panic buying because of panic buyers. I haven't so far but I have plenty of food in.
i have enough food in the freezer possibly for a month, but after that who knows..
I've told the kids they have to slow down on their snacking habits.

I make lunches for them everyday....proper lunches so they aren't hungry.
Perhaps I'm being dense but how do we pay volunteer groups when they bring supplies? the local branch of my bank closed last year and now the nearest cash machine is a return journey of twenty six miles. This means travelling by bus which isn't recommended. I can't pay a random group by credit card and who accepts cheques these days.
