Just Letting Off Steam - Literally

My aged relative lives with us and it works very well.except she feels the cold and has to have the heating racked right up. We only have a small house with one living room so there is no escape.
I am melting and can hardly breathe. I am steaming in my shorts and t shirt.
Coping strategies, please.

Just make sure she is reasonably warm and turn the heating down to a more comfortable setting. She seems to feel cold whatever.

You can get long hot water bottles which can provide more heat over a larger area with a removable and washable cover. Like this one, but it's a pricier one:

For yourself, fill a hot water bottle with ice, salt and water, it will stay cool for ages wind down the heating a little every day and go with the heated throw for the old person....

Freeze a large bottle of salt water and stick it in front of a fan to get cooler air.
