Signs Of Much Greater Importance

When Jesus Christ was on earth, he gave his listeners a lesson in observing signs and acting accordingly. He was talking about something of far-reaching importance. The Bible reports: “The Pharisees and Sadducees approached him and, to tempt him, they asked him to display to them a sign from heaven. In reply he said to them: ‘When evening falls you are accustomed to say, “It will be fair weather, for the sky is fire-red”; and at morning, “It will be wintry, rainy weather today, for the sky is fire-red, but gloomy-looking.” You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but the signs of the times you cannot interpret.’”—Matthew 16:1-3

Well up to now, and for the foreseeable future, the Jehovah's Witnesses seem to be doing a pretty poor job of it!!

If you are God's chosen people, as you seem to believe, you'd think God would give you a bit of a hand to carry out his wishes!!

The earth is becoming more and more dangerous for mankind, not only physically but also morally and spiritually.

The Bible warns us at 2 Cor. 4:4) so what has God been doing, some have ask.

Those praying the model prayer that Jesus taught pray for God’s purpose to be vindicated by his will being done on earth as well as in heaven, as with all the past he told us, what we will see and what will be done.

First the preaching of the good news worldwide is to accomplished only with God’s help. (Matt. 24:14) Add to that the unified, multinational brotherhood of Jehovah’s people today—something the world cannot imitate—and we can see why even outsiders admit: “God is really among you.” (1 Cor. 14:25) So as a whole, we have abundant proof that God is working in behalf of his people.

Second prophecies to be proved to be true in order to expect fulfillment? The Bible itself gives the rule that enables the true worshiper to determine whether a prophecy is true or false.

There are three parts to the rule. First, the prophet must speak in the name of Jehovah, thus indicating authority to speak. Second, the words of the prophecy must tend to turn the hearer to Jehovah in true worship. Third, the prophecy must at some time have an early or initial fulfillment.
