I think I read that 10 people, all involved with the simulation and technical/production side of the virtual race know the result. They have all signed non disclosure agreements, and none of the bookies or television staff know the result. There is a strict limit also imposed on the amounts that you are allowed to wager and no one is going to ruin a career or reputation for what would only be a few quid return. You can't even have a forcast or tricast punt like you normally can.
