North To South Bikers And Shirts.

A company somewhere in the north of Ireland completed an order for thousands of white shirts before the virus.
The order couldn't be sent so the company asked the HSE if they could make use of the shirts. The answer was yes please if they could be made into scrub tops for multi or single use and distributed somehow throughout Ireland.
To the rescue came the group of 800+ Ireland wide bikers who would play pass the parcel doing short trips to collect and distribute the shirts to groups willing to do the alterations.
Our little sewing group has now received what will be our contribution. The shirts were sealed pre virus and gloves and wipes used on any outer packaging which could be touched.
So, having provided our doctor with enough face masks for the village should they be required we are now scrubs making.
I do have a lovely image of leather clad chaps and girls getting these shirts from the top of Ireland to us in the very bottom corner...... :-)

Bikers are always a much maligned community yet often are the first to volunteer their services. Blood and organ runs to name two.
