RIP. Stunned to see she was 83. How time flies.
83? flippin hell.
I used to like The Gentle Touch.
Suffering no more - RIP Jill.
Her daughter states that, after suffering from Alzheimer's for the last 10 years, her mothers death has come as a "thankful release."
RIP
I knew Ms. Gascoigne was in a home with dementia, and if her family feel her passing is a blessing, then I am happy that she is out of her suffering, and hope that theirs becomes bearable in time.

I enjoyed watching her in The Gentle Touch, but I could never reconcile her angelic good looks with her harsh voice - but that's just me.
RIP Jill. Jill was well known in Dundee. She appeared in four shows with Downfield Musical Society (Dundee) between 1965 and 1968 as Dandini in "Cinderella" and as "Sinbad" in the panto of the same name, Annie Oakley in "Annie Get your Gun" and Harriet Willow in "Bless the Bride".
I too was surprised to read how old she was. RIP.
