Has anyone used this facility to do their food shopping?

Is it a relatively quick way of going about it, or did you have to queue in order to receive your goods? Do you have to go into the shop?

I don't drive but a friend has collected three times for me. It's been a life saver and she's there and back in no time. No, you don't go inside the shop, someone brings the goods to you at the side I think it is.
It's all bagged up.
I have used it before and there wasn't much of a queue- but that was pre Covid.
Are you able to get a slot though Till? Last time (about 4 weeks ago so things may have improved) I tried any of the click and collects (Tesco & Sainsbury's) they were all booked up for the next 3 weeks

I did manage to get a slot, FF and will be picking up my order today.
(I don't really know how I managed it!)

Thanks, Robinia.
Did you friend have to take ID with her?
We have one booked for tomorrow morning and are a bit in the dark about it.
Asda c&c text when your order is ready to collect, off you co and there’s maybe one car in front of you, but as far as I can see, sainsburys don’t do that.
No, you don’t go into the shop, there’s a dedicated area in the car park.
Ff, we’ve found if you go on to the book a slot bit round about 3 to 3.30pm then there’s not much trouble getting a slot so I wonder if that’s when they release most of them.
Also randomly throughout the day some appear when previously every slot has been taken.

All will be revealed between 4pm and 5pm this evening. :-)
Tilly, I got a slot also! I decided to torture myself, and tried again yesterday. Bingo!
It's being delivered tonight. Only 50p as I chose a "green" slot.

Well done, Pasta. :-)

I have to go and collect mine but I'm quite happy to do that.
I almost fell off the sofa when I didn't hit a brick wall for once.
Now to book the next slot...if available far enough in advance.
Question Author
Mine come up just one week at a time. Does your page go further into the future, Pasta?
The first time Tilly I gave my friend as much info as possible and all she was asked for was my name. I do make sure she has the order number though just in case.
I've just done a c&c for Wednesday. The only delivery slot available was Thursday, 10-11 pm I think it said. If I had an order to put away at that time of night I hate to think where I'd find it the next day :)

Well that was good.

We found the van in the car park, pulled up alongside and the assistant asked our name. Five minutes later, all the shopping had been put into the back of the car for us and we didn't even get out. Great service.
Did they text or email you to say it was ready to collect Tilly?
They’re hourly slots aren’t they, did you turn up at the beginning, middle, end of the time your slot was?
I’m just very curious as we have one between 10 and 11 tomorrow morning.
