Sorry Professor. I meant the YU at the start of 30D pairs with the back half of which clue? I had PUNA as the answer (bleak elevated region) giving PUKE as the entry. PE (exercising) round UK.

sorry, it's PUKE not 'yuke' -
'the old' is part of the def [I've just checked my grid] + PU pairs with NA.
sO, it is PE ('exercising') around UK
