… but why do we have to be constantly bombarded with references to it on so many television programmes? I tried to watch Grayson Perry’s art programme - a bit of light relief I thought - but after several references to ‘lockdown’ within the first minutes, I switched it off. I want to be entertained - not to be continually reminded that we’re living through horrible times. I know that.

The program is hardly about lockdown...or the news, or misery. It's about being creative, even if you think you aren't. It's extremely uplifting and inspiring. Do give it a chance.

I haven't watched or looked up the news in ages now. I usually rely on here (lol). I know the situation, but I don't want to hear nothing but that... it does just get depressing.

In no way is Grayson Perry's Art Club depressing. Its uplifting and one of the best programmes on TV. At no time does it show anyone wallowing, any stories on how (insert relative) died a horrible death, its full of positivity and wonderful art work. Yes I have a bit of a crush on Grayson lol!

Pasta, I paint, but whether my work would be considered ‘artistic’ is debatable. Like horselady I’m upbeat but I’m finding the constant references to Coronavirus and lockdown utterly depressing. I want to escape all that if only for short periods of time so I’ll leave this programme to those who find it beneficial. I don’t.
