What do you think of Birmingham?

I am doing some research on public perceptions of British cities and it would be great to get some feedback from people on the following.

What are your perceptions of Birmingham as a city?

What do you first think of, what are its good points, bad points, could do better?

Also what cultural landmarks do you associate with Birmingham?

My perceptions of Birmingham, a city full of skinny people with buck teeth and strange accents

Good points, It`s over 100 miles away

Bad points, Everyone wears football shirts, even on holiday whether they be in Spain, Hawaii or a Haven camp site

Cultural landmarks, Curry houses

Yes I am talking to yow Puddi,firstly I haven't got a Brummie accent,I have a Black Country one,there is a difference!
But since you don't like either I'm stuffed!
As for Baltis the Balti belt in Sparkbrook is the best,but I hate curries!

I am sorry i go on about there accents but for friends and oppos, brummies are one of the best, why fear your safety there, brummies mostly are gentleman!!!!

I've got some really fantastic friends in Birmingham, but as soon as one says: "Don't forget to shut the gite, bab!"..... the terrible accent's with me for days.

I have to speak as I find though, and mean no offence to the GOOD people of Birmingham.

It is full of peasant scum
It is full of chavs
It is full of beggers
It is full of filth

Good points:

The Chinese area has some very nice restaurants
I actually find the accent sexy on brummie birds
