will supermarkets give out appointments to go and shop?
I was thinking while standing in a queue (in the lovely sun) for Tesco last week, I WOULD NOT be wanting to do this in the rain or cold!

I wondered about that too
They might build some shelters for the queues.
We might also have an effective vaccine by then.
Morrisons already have signs reminding customers to bring a brolley and warm clothing, so they seem to be accepting that people will queue outside in the cold.

However I can't see why anyone needs to queue anyway. All you have to do is shop at a time when the stores are quiet. I shopped in Morrisons (for the first time in 11½ weeks, due to my notional 'sheltered' status) the other day during ther last hour of trading. There were no queues to get in and only about 5 or 6 other customers in the entire (large) store. The previous time I'd shopped there it was also much the same during the last hour.
I will shop at tea time to avoid queues or buy online.
I do the majority of my grocery shopping online with Tesco and there seems to be a bit more availability of slots now. Will probably continue with this until its all over.
