Has anyone found a way to successfully wear a face covering without steaming up your glasses?

I find it impossible to wear glasses with the single use masks. Better when I wear home made, washable masks.

Yes, my face masks have a bendy plastic strip across the top, I can pinch it in to shape around my nose and that stops my glasses steaming up

I read on another forum that rinsing your glasses in washing up liquid solution helps (it's certainly a known method for snorkel masks).

Try washing your lenses in soapy water, it is said to help.

I haven't been out yet so haven't tried it.

elliemay, it is hard work. Not to mention elastic, glasses arms and hearing aids getting caught up together behind my ears. I have to gird my loins these days before I go shopping.

Sorry choux, missed that, works okay for me nipping the wire, make sure it’s too slack at the ears too where air can get it , if it’s slack tie a small knot it’s elastics

My face masks don't steam up my glasses, but they are hot to wear. I'm going to buy a face shield, which I think will be more comfortable. Still need a mask for things like the hairdressers etc, though.

Rub solid soap on the lenses then buff up with clean dry cloth it works.

on public transport, the law says you must wear a face covering, and defines same. the train company staff, posters and audio messages say you must wear a mask.

a mask is a face covering. a face covering is not a mask.
