'Home-made' sausage rolls (buy puff pastry, streaky bacon and cocktail sausages. Wrap a sausage in a sliver of bacon and then cut out a rectangle of pastry and wrap around. Bake until golden brown.)
Home-made guacamole (2 ripe avocados, 1 chopped red onion, 1 medium/hot red chilli, 2 ripe seeded tomatoes, sea salt & black pepper. Bung in a blender for a few seconds so that the mixture is 'chopped' but not smooth. Remove and stir in finely chopped coriander and 1tbsp of lime juice. Serve with tortilla chips or bread sticks).

You've got plenty of carbohydrates there, so how about providing a balance and having a nice dish of crudites - sticks of cucumber, celery, raw carrot, red pepper and lots of nice little cherry tomatoes. If you can get some really small courgettes, raw strips of them are also very nice. And don't forget the sweet pickled onions !
You can get big packs of cocktail sausages out of Asda's - they have a little peppery kick to them - gorgeous. Sausage rolls and sandwiches. You could have crackers and cheese - so many different kinds of cheese - bu Morrison'd do a lovely goat's cheese with cracked black pepper - my dad stole all mine - that good! One thing I learned from going to my family in France - they use those boxes of little nibble biscuits - cracker like - Lidl and Aldi sell them for about 60p for a huge box - the one's with pretzels and other stuff in it. They also put salted peanuts in a large bowl with raisins or currants - the sweet and saltiness together is lovely.
