Your Favourite Singing Voices

Which male and female singers have your favourite voices? My favourite male singing voices are Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Nat King Cole, John Lennon, and (though I appreciate this voice is very Marmite) Bob Dylan. My favourite female singing voices are Shirley Bassey, Stacey Kent, Susanna Hoffs, Linda Ronstadt, and Tammy Wynette

I watched a documentary on Ella Fitzgerald a few weeks back, and although I'm not keen on jazz, I thought what an amazing voice she had.

How could I forget Luther Vandross and Chaka Kahn. I forgot Freddie Mercury and Heather Small too.

Apc, I like Radiohead a great deal, and Thom's voice on tracks like Karma Police or Street Spirit is haunting. He wouldn't make the higher echelons of my list, but I wouldn't argue against his inclusion either

I look back with great fondest to the days when our house was taken over with Bowie, Bjork, radio head, Kate Bush, Scott Walker, SigurRoss Mercury Rev, The Pixies, etc. When he left home I had to go out and buy all the Albums that went with him. He's a very good musician and audio / sound engineer, but not working in that industry now.

I'm lucky, my son is too young for most of my music, but I did have him dancing to Blitzkrieg Bop by The Ramones when he was around 5 or 6, so it's a good start.

Too many to mention, in my list I would have to include Jim Reeves, Vitas and Home Free. The ladies would include, Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield, and Tracey Ullman.
