I`ve heard this many times but can`t fathom where it`s from. This is my version of the tune - not the original. Hear it on this link:-

That's the second song on there, danny. The piano notes are the first 23-24 seconds. Then the 10000 hours song cover by JK comes in. I don't think that's supposed to be there
I'm pretty sure we are trying to identify the tune that 711 has played for us on the piano, rather than the second song which is already named on the soundcloud link
Oh ok thanks FF
Maybe it's Richard Clayderman
The last 3 chords sound like the bit before "that's what friends are for" in the song of that name but the rest doesn't really fit. I'll keep looking.
Yes, it's the change at seconds 21-24 that I keep thinking is the key to recognising this
I hope 711 comes back to update us
Bruce Hornsby and the Range- The way it is?
Any update please, 711?
"I still haven't found what I'm looking for"?
"Needle in a Haystack"?

This will drop off Recent Posts soon so I thought I'd have a final try. Was it not the Richard Clayderman one?

Or, doesn't sound like yours but....John Miles- Music?
I can`t help thinking it's something by Janet Jackson. I don`t know why.
That last part definitely sounds like Joe Jackson 'Stepping Out' to me.
I agree Tony, but the first bit sounds nothing like it.
I can also see the Dionne Warwick one.
The last bit of it sounds most like the George Benson/Glen Medeiros one
Sounds like he's done some sort of mash up.
tonyav - your suggestion is the closest so far. It does sound like Joe Jackson and if the OP can't exactly remember the tune then it isn't going to be note perfect anyway.

True, 237SJ.
Maybe it's time I unsubscribed from this as it looks like either 711 has forgotten about it or our suggestions haven't helped get any nearer to the answer
