probably if you could devise a method of synthesis but what purpose would it serve? Usually the particles are protons. It makes on sense to start with something bigger.
If the EMF contained a polyvalent metal, say iron, then the containing fullerene would carry an appreciable negative charge spread over it's surface (?). It would have a mol. wt. of over 700 (depending on the fullerene size and metal) so 'quite a large' anion to get in motion/ stop?
