Critics will, no doubt, latch on to this, and ask if we are about to see 'made to measure babies'? Perhaps we laymen should wait and see just what the reaction might be.

I think the prize is well-deserved.
The scientists’ aim wasn’t to create designer babies. If someone uses it for that reason in the future that’s hardly their fault.
