my friend who is early 40s suffers terrible pain and swelling with this horrible ailment. they keep trying her on different medication but they end up having to give her more medication becauseof all the side effects. She is in constant pain and has to take pain killers all the time. Is there anyone who has benefitted by any sort of complementary medicine I wondered if acupuncture might help? can anyone help please

Hi Sandy, my mum's friend suffers terribly with this as well and i just wondered whether your friend had found out whether any food allergies were making it worse. My mum's friend can't eat any dairy including eggs and really follows a vegetarian diet. If she does eat aything like that all her joints swell up and she is very poorly. It might be a route worth checking out, then she will know what foods to avoid to help reduce the pain.
