Nothing on his website says he isn't, though his biography makes it sound as if his production company is busy: http://www.peterjames.com/biog.htm . They give an email address, perhaps you could ask: [email protected]

It's worth an email. I recently noticed that on my favourite author's site (George R. R. Martin) there was an outdated link to a firm that I used to work for (now sadly defunct). There wasn't even a contact address to inform of the dead link, so I took a guess at a generic address, not holding out much hope, and was surprised to find a personal reply from the great man himself the next day! (Mind you, he probably should have been writing his next book which is way overdue!)
