Trochanteric Bursitis
11 Answers
Just this afternoon been diagnosed with this as the reason for my extreme pain in right hip.
Told it’s v hard to heal/treat but it’s possible (don’t know how accurate that is).
Told to put ice on it every 4 hours, order exercise bands to do prescribed exercises, pain killers etc....... Oh well, at least I know what it is now.

I have tried exercise, painkillers, etc but the only thing which gave relief was a cortisone injection, of which I have had 3, (at the moment hoping for another, speak to doctor next week) and my daughter has had 5 injections. She has been referred to a specialist for possible keyhole surgery. Totally fed up with it all.
I've had similar. I get pain in the top side of right leg, when I'm lying in bed. Also pain in side if buttock and pelvis. I've read about piriformis, and it seems to fit the bill.
