A friend of mine went shopping today at a Retail Park in Greater Manchester. Car parks were full and lots of shops were busy like B&Q B&M The Range etc. I didn't realise these shops were allowed to be open so I checked out which other places were open and found these.
These include:
Essential retail such as food shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, garden centres, hardware stores, building merchants and off-licences.
Petrol Stations, car repair and MOT services, bicycle shops, and taxi and vehicle hire businesses.
Banks, building societies, post offices, loan providers and money transfer businesses
Funeral directors
Launderettes and dry cleaners
Medical and dental services
Vets and pet shops
Agricultural supplies shops
Storage and distribution facilities
Car parks, public toilets and motorway service areas.
Outdoor playgrounds
Jobcentre Plus sites
Courts and probation services
Civil Registrations Offices
Passport and Visa Services
Services provided to victims
Waste or Recycling Centres
I had to go to B and Q earlier to buy a replacement security chain after an attempted break in. It was very busy and people queuing up for paint and wondering round aimlessly!!
I've got that stuff, Buen. Wouldn't have bothered were it not for needing new chain. This week has been awful here. 2 break ins, 1 attempted and a police raid on a cannabis factory. We've hardly slept this week!!
It seems you don't have to buy a substantial meal with a drink either as someone has found a loophole where you can sell alcoholic drinks as a takeaway!
Barmaid that is terrible. Do you have an alarm that you can set when you go to bed? Think I would want extra strong hinges on back and front doors and bolt top and bottom and, if necessary, chains as well in both places as well as by the locks. Good luck and hope this spate has now ended.
