What does it mean when Doc arranges for hospital appointment because he suspects a bleed somewhere in the body and also gives leaflets on cancer?

except that he couldn't hear what the doc said.
But if he's determined to be obstinate about it, there's not a lot you can do but worry. Worry about him rather than the doctor, though - the doctor's quite right not to discuss someone else's symptoms with you, and it appears he is carrying out the patient's own wishes, since he doesn't want to discuss them either.

The tiredness could be due to anaemia and could be caused by a multitude of issues. Probably needs proper work up. Maybe be a scan, gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Does not necessarily mean cancer but the leaflets might refer to the above tests to give him an idea of what tests to expect. Try not to worry. Maybe also explain his hearing problem for next appointments and see if you can sit in because of this. Try not too worry
Thank you Calmck, Grumpy and Jno. Yes doc has said he will arrange for an appointment and should be within the next two weeks. So I will just have to wait and see. I will go with him although they may not let go into the hospital with him but at least I will be around. Takes about 1/1.5 hours to get there.

You could be describing my husband’s situation. He had a blood test that showed he was anaemic and he had also had a few bouts of diarrhoea. He also seems to have a smaller appetite than he used to have. He had an endoscopy, colonoscopy and CT scan. All his tests came back negative so try not to worry too much.
