I have quite a lot of photos on an old windows 10 laptop.

Any photos I have taken recently have saved to Google Photos, with back up storage.

I would like to save some of the old photos to Google, so I can get rid of the laptop.

Is there an easy way to do it?

Open Google Photos. In the left hand column, click 'utilities', then click 'back up photos from pc'
Can you put them on a memory stick Hoppy?
On the laptop, log into Google photos (using your Google account details).

Click 'Upload' and select 'Computer'.

Navigate to the location of your images.

Press Ctrl and A together to select all of them. (If there's a massive number it might be better to select just a subset. You can select a block of images by clicking on the first one and then holding the Shift key down when you click on the last one. Or you can select lots of individual images together by holding the Ctrl key down as you click on each image in turn)

Click 'Open' to upload your images.

I don't have Google Photos on the Windows laptop, Barry.

That's probably the way to go, Bobbi. Presumably if I moved them to my Chromebook I could then back them up.

Thanks Chris, it is working. It's very slow because the old laptop has never worked well and is now quite sick. Once I've got the photos I value saved, then it's curtains for the laptop.
