Anybody who preys on the elderly and vulnerable to the extent these scumbags did (and I saw the film of them laughing as they poured milk on an elderly persons drive pretending it was sealant) deserve the full extent of the law and if it is only five years then it needs to be changed, because it is not enough imo. My elderly Dad was conned by some lowlife over the 'phone, but I managed to stop him before he gave away some personal details. You should have seen the look on my Dad's face when he realised he'd been conned, it broke my heart.

Instead of them idling out their sentences playing video games, playing pool, watching TV, or simply spending their time lying on their beds, they should be out, dawn till dusk carrying out free maintenance work on old peoples property.

Aog, i wouldn't have them anywhere near, they would be in solitary, no privileges, and most definitely a longer time than 5 years, which will be 2 if they are good boys.

1: There will always be "mugs" out there to be conned by scum.

2: They will come straight out and carry on where they left off.

3: Bring back the birch, 20 lashes each on their bare arrisses followed by 5 years unpaid community work, curfews 6pm-6am instead of prison which is a byword for a holiday camp.

4: If you're gonna punish the barstewards - punish them properly!!!
