I made my Christmas pudding a few weeks ago. I checked one of them last night, only to find mildew has formed on the top. What can I do. I have already given one to my sister, so I am mortified.

Thank you all in advance

Your sister's pudding may not have gone mouldy, ask her to check.
There is still time to make more Christmas pudding, make sure you put enough sugar in and that it is totally dry and cool before you wrap it for storing
Are you sure its mildew and not just a thin layer of fat?
It's fairly common to get mould on the exposed part of the pudding. Just scrape it off.
Do not scrape of the mould and eat it. Mould is like an iceberg -more of it inside than outside and it can make you very sick.
What a shame, but you are best to remake them as they will be mouldy througout. Its not quite the same as scrapping a thin layer of mould off the top of jam. They have sweated in their storage and gone off.
