I encourage all you bookworms to discover www.librarything.com (if you haven't already.) Catalogue your books and find like-minded readers instantly.
I am currently reading Twenty Times A Lady by Karyn Bosnak, which is what I would call 'an easy read' as it's light-hearted and funny. Would recommend it for a lazy Sunday Afternoon when you just want a laugh!!
If Amazon pulled their finger out, I'd be reading 'Looking for Mr. Goodbar' by Judith Rossner - based on the real-life story of a schoolteacher murdered in New York in the 70s. As it is, currently fingering through 'Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams' by Sylvia Plath.
I have just finished "Catch me if you Can" by Frank Abagnale (the book that inspired the film with Leonardo de Caprio and Tom Hanks). I really enjoyed it,goes into far more depth than the film about his forgeries and how he was imprisoned in Sweden.
My next book will be The Abortionists Daughter which is a Richard & Judy summer read.
'shopaholic abroad' by Sophie Kinsella, 2nd book in her shopaholic series. Yes i know its a chick lit but its great!
Eragon by Christopher Paolini (hope thats spelt write) good book. I like it coz its nothing like reality
I have just finished 'The Island' by Victoria Hislop this was one of Richard & Judy's summer reads and was well worth the read. It was quite an easy read, but I couldn't put it down. I have also not long finished Labrynth by Kate Mosse and that was an excellent book bit of a slow start but worth reading. I am just about to start reading ' A Small Island'
44 Scotland Street - Alexander McCall Smith
Just about to start "I was a doctor in aushwitz" by Gisella Perl.
Then I will read the the last ever book by Melissa Nathan who sadly died recently.
House on the strand by du maurier very good , atmospheric read
The Indian Mutiny by Saul David.
Literature and the western world by J B Priestly.
Lord of the Rings. fifth time around, always ends the same
Moab is My Washpot - Stephen Fry's autobiography - this month's choice by my book group. Interesting use of language.
Tripwire a novel by Lee Child. One of several about Jack Reacher a former American Military Policeman. Read one of the others and got hooked.
Just finished 'Betrayed' by Lyndsey Something, (it was a pseudonym anyway), which was just brilliant, and I think I'll probably start 'Perfect Match' by Jodi Picoult tonight because it's the only other book I've unpacked at my new flat! And also because I love her books, they're all wonderful!
I've just finished and thoroughly enjoyed Tony Hawks' latest, Piano in the Pyrenees.

I didn't want it to finish but as it did, I'm now re-reading, for the third time, Round ireland with a Fridge.

I'd recommend it to anyone. Just don't read it on public transport. People think you're a loon.
I've just finished 'Fools Die' by Mario Puzo (of Godfather and Superman fame). This was honestly the best book I have ever read, I would recommend it to anyone who is nearing the end of theirs.

Currently reading 'The Historian' by Eliszabeth Kostova, which is gripping right from the beginning, very good story so far!
Mosesg we must be on the same wavelength as I too recently read The Island which I loved and have started Small Island which I am also enjoying.
"None Dare Call It Education" by John A. Stormer;
What is Happening In our Schools?
The documented account of how education "reforms" are undermining academics and traditional values.
Terror of the Devil's chests by Ray Benstead
A story for adventurous young adults.
You have to ask yourself why a knight that fought in the third crusade with Richard the lionheart is still alive today.
