I don't understand the "Captain Hindsight" attack, in the sense that it's obviously wrong and looks even more obviously stupid when you consider how many U-Turns on Covid the Government has had to make.

The point of PMQT as I'm sure you know, is not to ask actual questions.
For the Opposition it is the chance to score points,
For the Goverment it allows Mr Slimesworth of Browntongueshire to ask the PM if he realises just how staggeringly, jolly, ripping the current govt is :-)

That mostly isn’t how it panned out with Boris. We all knew the facts and waited for the Government to do the right thing. And we waited, and waited, and waited, until Johnson eventually and finally did the right thing after doing nothing, or the wrong thing for several weeks.

In March we asked why all these flights from all over the world were daily flying into the UK? It was several weeks later when that ended. But it was much too late. The facts didn’t change, the PM finally listened to them, just too late.
