i hate my ipod

Can someone PLEASE tell me why when I plug my ipod shuffle in to my computer then go to itunes and go to preferences then ipod it says 'no ipod connected', whats it lying for!! How can I fix it?

If you're not using xp or 2000 have you the correct drivers installed for it? Have the usb ports worked before?

I am using xp.
Yeah it used to work before then it just stopped so I downloaded itunes again and still nothing!

If you bought the ipod from a shop d'yer think it's worth having it checked out. If from over the net perhaps a letter?

I got it from argos and I got the 3 year replacement thing with it but im fed up with stupid ipods and i want a different mp3 player but they want to give me a new one of the same one!! (and thats the last thing i want)

If it doesn't work, as opposed to your not being able to get it to work, you'e entitled to a full refund.
