Of course i mourn his passing and feel for his family. However, 100 is not a bad old innings, is it. Much longer than 3 of my friends who have recently died due to Covid; one aged just 54, and the other two in their early 60s.
Rest in Peace Captain Sir Tom Moore. You were an inspiration, and showed us all that even at 99 years of age, there is still many adventures to look forward to. Who would have thought he could achieve so much good in his final year of life. An incredible man.
Well no,your test can remain negative for 21 days after being infected by Covid 19...i.e before he was admitted to hospital...3 weeks before.
Bottom line is that I don't know when he was infected.
rather an odd thing in that article - it is said he was being tested regularly for covid because of his age. How does that work then? I thought you could only get a CV test if you had symptoms?
Why not just rejoice in the man and what he did for the NHS?
So he went to Barbados , let's just say it was a foolish decision to make, his family will have to live with that, personally I'm pleased he had his holiday, I don't use the word legend Willy nilly , this man was just that , a legend
Thank you Captain Sir Tom
No, there are different tests, bednobs. For instance, all care staff have one at least once weekly (or more), symptoms or not. If that comes back positive, then they go on to have the NHS one to confirm.
I believe Captain Tom's legacy is to be a better person.
I will drink to that.
I look into the window of my mind
Reflections of the fears I know I've left behind
I step out of the ordinary
I can feel my soul ascending
I'm on my way, can't stop me now
And you can do the same, yeah
