Phone Scam??

Had 2 calls from numbers 00859370321 & 08683945577 in the last hour saying they have been trying to contact me regarding suspicious activity with my Internet & will disconnect it in the next 24 hours so press 1 to speak to them which I havent done. I havent had any missed calls from these numbers & I am with Virgin. Could this be a scam??

Yes it will be. I've been routinely blocking such numbers recently & seem to be getting fewer calls. (I got fed up of getting through to a person & hurling abuse at them!)

Of course it's a scam and a very common one at that. Don't press anything, hang up and block that number if possible.

That wording is sure sign of a scam.

If there was suspicious activity, what this involves I do not know, they wouldn't bother letting you know, they would shut you down anyway!!!

have had similar, disembodied voice tells me my internet is about to be cut off, i just hang up.

i get all sorts of scam emails calls, banks that i have no accounts with
tax returns, internet cutoffs, drivers license about to expire, paypal irregularity, all fakes.
