Spam Call From 01656

Just had a call from this area code which I did not answer. It is for Bridgend. Have not put the rest of the number because when I checked online there were lots of complaints from people who had been called from this area code, but with many different end numbers, and the majority were saying that someone was calling to say there had possibly been a fraudulent payment made on their card for the amount of £600. Please be careful and don't give out any info. Just hang up.

i usually do, had calls about tax, BT, end of contract on my landline, and more. i just put down the phone

Just block these calls as soon as you get them calling you. Although they always seem to try again from a different number! As mentioned before, if it’s about “an accident you have had” I always say yes it was a serious accident, I was decapitated. That gets rid of them.....

Are probably cloned numbers.If you rang back you’d possibly speak to someone with no idea about what your enquiring.

Put the phone down and use 1572 to block that number

Normally when I call back these numbers I get 'Number has not been recognised'. However a few months back I redialled a number and got through to a gentleman in a private home in Edinburgh. He said I was the fourth caller that day. I felt sorry for him, it can't be very pleasant having your life disturbed by that.
