Indigestion??

Hi, i wonder if anyone can help.
My 14 year old daughter has been suffering with intermitant(?) feelings of nausea and a 'bubbling' tummy for a few days. she has been taking ant-acid tablets which seem to help. she has been eating normally.
Today she had a couple of slices of toast and then 15 minutes later she had a pain in her chest, just underneath her ribs which she found really uncomfortable. she has taken 2 more ant-acid tablets and gone to lay down.
is this just heartburn/indigestion, (don't actually know the difference!) or could it be something else.
Any help gratefully received.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Try not to give her ant acid tablets as alot of people become used to them and always have a packet with them.I suffered from heart burn all my life I started eating ant acid tablets at 14.Its all down to diet .Aviod fried food or spicy food, toast, chocclate, chrisps. (cause toast is burnt, the dark areas are carbon and causes discomfort)
Give her milk to drink as it is a (BASE) which naturaly nuturilises ACID in her stomach to releave Heart burn.
If it is heart burn her diet will have to be changed, stress is also a cause of heart burn which can lead to an ulser in later life
Indigestion is more of a pain than heart burn kinda like a pressure inside if that makes sense,ways to aviod indigestion would be eat slower and chew the food more
well i'm not a doctor but i think this will be a help
I don't suffer from heart burn any more cause I had to totally
change my diet and it worked and i also gave up smoking (which is another cause of heart burn)
