hi i was just wondering if anybody has ever seen a film about belfast during the troubles, im not sure what happens really as i seen it when i was about 12 but at the end at just after dawn, a armoured car "pig?" pulls off a side street into the path of a blue? car and a bunch of army chaps get out of the pig and open fire on the car.

i think some of the film is set in a bar that has a huge steel door with a flap, so the guy inside can see whos outside, and there may also be some knee cappings involved, in an alley behind the pub and close to some of those huge gas things that move up and down

i know thats really sketchy but its been years

nope doesn't look like it
You dont say when you were 12 but to me it sounds like Some Mothers Son.

From your description though it could be any number of films (sounds like an average day in Belfast - shootings,, knee cappings, drinking etc etc)

Have a look here:

http://cain.ulst.ac.uk/images/cinema/nimovies. htm#top

It doesnt list TV dramas though - only feature films.
not 100% on this but it could be ressurection man if im not mistaken brenda fricker who used to be in casualty plays his mum in it in the film 4 blokes in a car go round the streets after the pubs close looking for catholic people i think and then beat them up and torture and kill them if this isnt the film you meant sorry i tried :)
