In my experience people have claimed to believe in all manner of things real and unreal. For myself, belief is a consequence of, not the cause of, my understanding. Belief has never contributed to the furthering of anyone's knowledge and understanding about anything, let alone an understanding of life or the universe. If anything, unqualified belief derails the process. Belief of any kind or in anything is no more reasonable than the knowledge and understanding upon which it is based and underpins it.

Belief in a superintelligence only serves to undermine your own.

///yes I enjoyed the whole program of that documentary on Genesis is enlighten me quite a lot of how science backed up the Bible in many ways and also so the Flood ,,who,, is interesting about the Flood how he did would divide the original Earth or continent,,And made the surface of the Earth a completely different place

Can those who quote the bible and think it is the word of god tell me why, when books were not invented until long after the first humans were on this earth?

Lankeela, that is a very good question, but demands far more of an answer than I could ever put in just a post or two.
First, the oral tradition of handing down historical stories from generation to generation is a well honed skill that we are unfamiliar with, but is still used in other parts of the world, for example nomadic peoples in Africa.
As for the stories themselves, you would have to decide for yourself whether they are presented as literal historical events, or if not, that they contain easily understandable truths regarding our relationship with God.
