The other two you mention did so because none of the mainstream parties were prepared to adopt their preferred policy on a particular issue. But Scotland there is a well established party that seems to concentrate on little else but the quest for independence. So unless you've been following the ridiculous SNP saga, you might wonder what his motives are.
