The simple answer to your question is no. A £5 e.w. bet will cost you a tenner. If the horse wins at the price you mention, you will receive £11.50 back. If it comes 2nd, you will receive £5.25.

First race in this country and first race with me as a part owner! He didn't run in the previous races because the ground was considered maybe too fast for him. Think I'll just enjoy the experience and keep my money in my pocket.

Nicholls had the odds-on jolly in the first at Exeter. It was beaten a neck by the 2nd fav.
Lankeela, there's a saying in racing when it comes to backing long odds-on shots; "If you've got the 4, you don't need the 1."

Took keen hold, disputed lead, led over 3f out, ridden and headed 2f out, soon weakened (op 4/11 tchd 2/5) - he will learn from that and hopefully by the autumn he will have come on a lot and be ready to go hurdling.

I nipped down to the bookies and listened to the race commentary but there was no live screening of the race which was a bit disappointing.
