With Polling Day approaching ...

(is Polling Day approaching? or are WE approaching Polling Day?)

... all the newspapers tell their readers whom to support.

Do you agree with your newspaper?

Are you even swayed by your newspaper?

I just ask because my newspaper, The Guardian, talks boIIocks ... as always at Election time.

last time it recommended voting Labour; this time it recommends the LibDems. In each case I had cast my vote before it did so, so I'm not affected. But who did you want it to back?
morning jayne if you did the crosswords you would have no time to read the rubbish

Hi ummmm and Peri AJ.

EDDIE ... yes, they are.

I'm surprised that the Daily Mail can stop being grumpy for long enough to express an opinion.
Have already decided who I'm Voting for JJ and I wasn't swayed by the Newspapers.
Most of the Political stuff they print is garbage.
Question Author
Yes.
AB is full of people recommending who you should vote for. Why shouldn't newspapers? All I ask is that they don't twist, misreport or just invent 'news' stories.

As for The Times being unbiased: it's the least biased of the Murdoch papers and the editor's a nice guy I used to know, but you'll still see it carrying a selection of (for instance) anti-BBC stuff as its proprietor would wish. Has it ever backed Labour?
Question Author
The Times has backed Labour each year since 1992.

Before that it was Tory.

This year, it's Tory again.
ta for that.

It is polling day today. I read my newspaper, The Mail, but do not believe always what it says. News is news but we must have our own opinions on things.
