Just received my new Debit Card and, like the one before, it is contactless. However, the accompanying letter states that "You will need to use your card and PIN to activate this feature." Is that just the first time i use it, or the first time in each store?

Just the first time.

Thanks, L-I-K. That's what i thought but couldn't remember back to the first time i used the 'old one'.
You can also activate it by drawing some cash out at a cash point. That's what I did with mine.
i used mine to pay for coffee which activated it....

Bit of a rarity for me, WW, i'm usually putting cash in. Ta anyway :-)
You could always draw out a tenner and put it back in. :0)
You have to use the PIN to show it's yours, just once before you use it contactless. But also every so often to keep it activated. If you use it contactless too many times in a row, it will deactivate until you confirm with the pin again.
Windy...you can use it just by paying for things and putting the pin in to the shops machine. No cash needed.

To put it simply, the first time you use the new card you need to enter the pin. This then activates the contactless feature.
Thanks ummmm, but I already knew that, was just pulling Ken's leg. :0)
