As a business in Florida, a customer advises they are tax exempt, they supply the RUT-7 Rolling Stock Certification form from Illinois as proof.

Will a RUT-7 from Illinois carry over state lines to Florida and be sufficient documentation to not charge the customer taxes?

Will the business be fined, if they did not charge tax when the customer claims they are exempt?
