Baffling Covid Info...

...form the PM. On BBC Breakfast today, they reported that the PM said hospital cases are rising, which isn't true. The latest CV update on the govt website doesn't bear this out. There has been no increase in hospital admissions in the last 7 days. See here.

With daily death figures hovering near single figures; hospital admissions averaging near 120 daily, it seems that this virus is under control. The figures now, don't point to any increase, except positive tests. Why is the govt scaremongering like this? Maybe they've got used to doing it. Maybe they think people like being State Controlled.

So there you are corby, don't remember anyone running around like headless chickens in 2017/18 when deaths from flu were 22000. However you can bet they will from now on for flu deaths as well as covid. Nobody can ever die of anything. Perhaps everyone should be made to drive everywhere at 10mph, after all lives come first.

Yes dave, what this pandemic has demonstrated quite clearly is that a large chunk of the population has been endowed with the belief that the government must protect them from everything. It's obvious that they cannot but that will not stop people from believing they can and demanding they do.

It is also quite clear than this virus will not be "defeated" and that we must accommodate it. What we now need is a government to tell the population how it is.

Up to 28th May there have been 152,289 deaths in the UK where COVID was mentioned on the death cert.

That's more than three times the flu deaths in a four-year period.

The nhs can cope with 10000-20000 flu deaths a year or road accidents . Theres no comparison with 100000 covid deaths a year and overflowing covid wards. Surely we should be past the'just like flu' nonsense but clearly some still dont see it

I don’t think I need to guess Eve - I’m as sure as I can be that he’s going to renege.

Even though there’s no reason to.

He’s said he’s going to follow data not dates, but the data is clear - there is not a single reason to renege on “freedom” day.

The ‘experts’ have repeatedly and with boring regularity got their numbers wrong; they have always massively over scaremongered with the doom-laden “scenarios”. They have got it wrong time after time, so surely for the sake of everybody, now is the time to dismiss their wrong “scenarios” and allow the country to get back to normal.
