Why humble pie?

Football clubs are no more immune from errors than anyone else - it's just that their errors are more high profile and attract more interest.

i can't see any need to grovel here - an error, admitted and apologised for.

What else do you think should happen?

It would not have been Delia who made the deal but she will be mortified about the mistake. Norwich have a good relationship with the fans and community and the club did right to cancel the deal.
