Female Pundits On Men’s Football
68 Answers
I wonder how the number of people wanting female pundits on men’s football compares to the number of people who (like me) don’t want them. Are there as many male pundits on televised women’s football? I suspect not, but am prepared to be corrected

Well I am female and a football supporter but I actually came on here to ask exactly the same question! Really find them irritating and whoever thought they were being inclusive has got this one badly wrong.

PP, I think Andy was joking. As you were too, I suspect :)
Jim, what about Clare Balding? She’s good on all sports. Haven’t seen her for a while. Can she be brought in to replace Sue Barker on tennis, who gets wheeled out annually. Oh, and someone please get rid of Andrew Castle. Why do they drag him in for the grass court season?

Yes, what would former French Open Champion Sue Barker know about tennis...
I'm all for anybody being a pundit/commentator who is enthusiastic about the sport they're talking about and wants to share that enthusiasm. The more the merrier. Any suggestion that women are typically less suited to such a job is risible, frankly.
