There's No Place Like Home

We went out earlier for a planned walk about and a meal in a pub. We were a little late getting there and most of the shops were closed. I was so disappointed at how run down the place looked compared to the last time we were there.
We had a little drink al fresco and then made our way to the pub. From the outside it looked lovely but when we walked inside we both noticed an unpleasant smell and it wasn't how we imagined. We walked out and jumped back in the car and, after considering our options, headed home.
We've now got a disposable BBQ on the go and just had salmon kebabs and lamb kofta to start. The steaks are now cooking whilst I relax with a nice glass of wine.
Bliss. :-)

They separated off a few tables for those who didn't have smartphones and therefore wouldn't be ordering by app. They didn't know the difference between and and later ' well it's all beer innit!' And a family with a toddler were loud and food was being thrown around. I don't want my own chips so I don't want your child's landing on my table. "He's too young to understand" the father said. In which case he is too young to be out in a pub, I suggest you bring him back when he is eighteen.
